Memorial Gates,  Constitutional Hill

"Constitution Hill" is featured on John Smith's map of 1724 and has a rich history.

The Memorial Gates are located at Hyde Park Corner end of Constitution Hill London.

Today, it is where the Prime Minister of the day and other dignitaries meet once a year to celebrate and commemorate the armed forces of the British Empire, who served in the First and Second World Wars.

Soldiers from Africa, the Caribbean and India are among those who subscribed to the gates, although the Caribbean is not represented to any great extent on the memorial plaque.
