WOMEN IN THE ARMED FORCES

I want to raise the funds necessary to complete and publish a book about women through the ages who joined the armed forces and dressed as men in order to fight, and the young women of colour who fought for Britain in WWII but whose stories have been untold.

 

The funds will be used for travel to obtain interviews and publication of the book upon completion. 

 

These Caribbean servicewomen who stood side by side with the men of the Army, and RAF's Aircrew which included Pilots, Navigators Gunners, Radio operators, and ground crew are now dying out, so we must tell their stories, as, without them, we would have lost an essential part of history.
