WOMEN IN THE ARMED FORCES

 My name is Maureen Dickson, It is my wish to raise funds to complete and publish a book about young women around the world who joined the armed forces to fight for their country, some disguised as men in the 16th Century to the young women of colour who fought for Britain in WWII and beyond, but whose stories remained untold.

These Caribbean servicewomen who stood side by side with the men of the Army, and RAF's Aircrew which included Pilots, Navigators Gunners, Radio operators, and ground crew are now dying out, so we must tell their stories, as, without them, we would have lost an essential part of history.
